I have just returned from my walk and am feeling so good after it, I thought why not just write about it? You know, along the lines of things I learned on my daily walks or something like that. Let me tell you a bit about myself because I feel like you need to know this about me before you can truly appreciate me doing something that some might consider a very minimal form of exercise or a minimal routine.
The thing is, I am one of those people with numerous ideas popping up in her head all the time. And out of those numerous ideas, there are some ideas that I have actually managed to translate into actions. Like, my idea to jot down thoughts which made me start a blog, the idea of me and a friend of mine talking about Hindi movies that not a lot of people talk about and turning it into a podcast, etc. But where I fail is the continuous action part of it. I start things with great enthusiasm and stop them as abruptly or let things fade out as quickly.
For someone who is as inconsistent as a chatbot pretending to be a human (I am looking at you, chatGPT), the fact that I have carried on with weekday afternoon walks is just nothing short of a miracle. Add the fact that I picked this routine up in the middle of crazy Ohio winter is just making me so proud. So, when I say rain or shine, I have been out getting those steps, I mean it literally. It’s been so addictive just getting out and taking that walk, that I can now truly understand joggers running through harsh weather, whom in my pre-walking life (yup, calling it that ha!) I would have rolled my eyes at the sight of it.
All I am saying is that those articles that talk about all the benefits of walking are right! I feel so much more active and awake, and it puts me in a great mood. Look at me sitting down to write this post right after my walk. It is also a great way to catch up on my podcasts that have been piling up since I started WFH.
My favourites:
In my previous post, I had forgotten to add this section. Reason no.1296 for me to be more consistent 😅
The best gluten-free carrot cake I have ever had. Grab this if you live in a city/country with Whole Foods. It was so good that it made it to my Evernote, so I would never forget the brand. (And yes, I am still on Evernote!)
I have been totally into this show on Netflix. They just added Part 2 with 6 new episodes and my weekend plans are now sorted ;) Let me know if you have watched this or if you do watch it based on my recommendation.
Oooh, I know moondance! I didn't know they made carrot cakes though. Congrats on walking, rain or shine. It's definitely not easy or pleasant during winter. I've been exercising regularly all year round except most of this month. I've been too tired and achy lately, but I have to return to my routine!
